Telling people about Jesus (evangelism) and teaching Believers about Jesus and how to apply Biblical principles (discipleship) are two very different things; we are called to do both.
At Servant Community Church we, through the power of the Holy Spirit, help bring individuals into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ, and journey together as we devote ourselves to sound Biblical’ teaching, fellowship with believers, and pray for and minister to people in our community.
Join us as we grow as disciples of Jesus Christ.
How do you know if you’re going to Heaven?
Have you ever committed even one sin? (Yes) Then you may not enter Heaven. In fact, God is required by His own law to punish sin and the punishment for sin is death. But, there is a way…
I know this may sound crazy but God must receive a payment in order to forgive and remove your sin. God doesn’t accept money, good behavior or acts of kindness as payment; God requires that a blood sacrifice be made to pay for your sin.
That’s why long ago, God’s people sacrificed animals as payment for sin. But animal sacrifices were like a temporary payment; they didn’t remove all sin from all people forever. God knew there would have to be a Perfect sacrifice to serve as the final payment for all sin.
God sent Jesus as the Perfect sacrifice. He died on the cross as the payment for sin, then He rose from the dead; proving He is Lord over all.
Here’s the amazing thing, God has the right to punish you because you have sinned against Him, but, because He loves you and wants to have a relationship with you, He will allow you to accept Jesus’ sacrifice as the payment for your sin.
Pray– God, I have sinned against you and I know you have the right to punish me, but you don’t want that to happen because you love me; that’s why You sent Jesus. Please forgive me of my sin. Today, I accept Jesus’ sacrifice as the payment for my sin and I want Jesus to be the Lord of my life; I will follow Jesus.
What should you do now?
herefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
